How to use this result

Model a score, then verify the route.

CRS ranks profiles that are already eligible for an Express Entry program. Invitation rounds, category-based selection and program eligibility can change what a score means.

What changed in the CRS on 3 November 2026

Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) added a Labour Market Integration factor to the Comprehensive Ranking System. It scores Canadian work experience and job offers together. You get points for one option only: whichever is higher.

Option 1: Canadian work experience, plus a high-wage bonus

Work-length points are the same as before. A bonus is added if you have at least 12 months (1,560 hours) of Canadian work in an occupation IRCC lists as high-wage.

At least 2x70

Option 2: a job offer in a high-wage occupation

At least 1.3x50
At least 1.5x70
At least 2x100

The factor is worth up to 150 points without a spouse and up to 140 with one. A job offer no longer needs a Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA), and having one adds no extra points. An officer still checks that the offer is genuine.

What did not change

  • Age, education and language points.
  • Skill transferability, which still uses plain years of Canadian work, not the high-wage rules.
  • Additional points: provincial nomination (600), French ability, Canadian study and a sibling in Canada.

IRCC said it would recalculate existing profiles over up to two weeks and pause invitation rounds while it does. Check IRCC’s Express Entry changes page and the rounds of invitations for current cut-off scores.
